Our curriculum is rooted in Christian-based content, thoughtfully designed to nurture both the heart and the mind. Each lesson is led by credentialed teachers who bring experience, excellence, and a love for the Lord into every live session.

For our primary students, live classes are intentionally designed to be 20–30 minutes long. These engaging sessions include a movement break to help young learners stay focused and energized. Because we understand how important parent partnership is at this age, primary lessons are teacher-led during live instruction and followed by meaningful parent-guided reinforcement at home. Parents consistently share how much they appreciate our structured reading lessons and the clarity of our curriculum through our CANVAS web pages, where assignments and resources are easily accessible and work is submitted.

Our upper-grade classes meet for approximately 50 minutes. These sessions not only provide direct instruction but also include built-in work time, allowing students to begin and often complete assignments with teacher support during class.

Curriculum for primaries includes:

  • Phonics based reading class through “UFLI” (University of Florida Learning Institute)
  • Reading for Fluency  for those who are taking off in their reading.  This year they have read from The Magic Treehouse Series, Charlotte’s Web, and The Boxcar Children.
  • Math curriculum:  Dimensions Math (a Singapore Math based curriculum)
  • Social Studies has focused on topics such as geography, community helpers and character building skills (responsibility, citizenship, kindness, respect, honesty, etc.)
  • Science has focused on a variety of topics from physical, life and earth sciences.

Curriculum for Upper Elementary has included:

  • Literature Lab where we have read the novels, The Bronze Bow, Anne of Green Gables, The Cabin Faced West, and Pilgrim’s Progress for Young Readers
  • Writer’s Workshop where we have focused on the topics:  Informational Writing, Research Writing, Creative Writing and Historic Fiction Writing.  Spelling and Grammar have been incorporated throughout.
  •  Math curriculum:  Dimensions Math (based on placement test results)
  • Social Studies through Our Star Spangled Story by Charlene Notgrass
  • Science through Apologia Zoology (Land Animals)
  • Electives include:  Art (once/week); Spanish (twice/week); Bible class (once/week) and incorporated into every morning meeting.

Live classes are held Monday through Thursday, creating a consistent rhythm for families. Fridays are reserved for enriching experiences such as virtual field trips, game days, and our special History and Science Fairs, which take place once each semester. These events build community, spark creativity, and give students opportunities to showcase their learning.

We are grateful for the strong partnership we have with our families and for the joy of providing a Christ-centered, academically rich environment where students can grow in confidence, knowledge, and faith.
